Born 11/FEB/1986, currently 22 years old. I was raised in the traditional American home, Dad’s a Mechanic, Mom’s a Nurse, and their kids a sarcastic know-it-all asshole. I don’t think I know everything and would never presume so. But, I can extrapolate onto many things and generally to deem myself through others to be correct. Am I good at aimless speculation? Maybe, or maybe I’m just good at figuring things out, who knows?
I dropped out of high school in 2004, graduated at an alternative highschool in 2005 and was a day laboroer until late 2006. I attended the Schoolcraft Fire Academy and finished with all national certs to then work upon my local fire department. Back then I chose this profession to help people in need but upon doing so I realized that helping people could be done before they are in dire need. I watched news shows, listened to my generation debate political issues and eventually became a political junkie. I attend Lansing Community College as of late and am trying to figure out where to transfer to. My major will be Political Science with a double major in or minor in Philosophy (I love the courses) or maybe in Physics (teachers say I’d be good at it for some reason) but who the fuck knows?
in 2006 I felt myself as a dedicated Ron Paul conservative until finishing my classes and doing some reading of my own and now identify myself with the Democratic party; supporting Barack Obama for President of the United States. I find talking points abhorable and hate the general discourse most people tend to have. I feel we listen to the media for our arguments and do not look at the “real” issues enough to come to our political conclusions.
I write on this blog to vent most of the time, and other times just want to speak. I feel our exercising our freedom of speech is the greatest right anyone could ask for and dissent upon our elected officials exemplifies this.
I see myself as a new age progressive looking to progress our society further through our government and just want discussion on real issues rather than the guilt-by-association bullshit and social issue crap.
